- - - - The widespread anger and fear following the Brunswick Manifesto, combined with the King's continued perceived hostility to the Revolution, led to the second attack on the Tuileries Palace
    - - 3,000 troops, 2,000 of whom were national guard marched to the Tuileries Palace. The king retreated to the Legislative Assembly to protect him and his Family. The guardsmen defending the palace joined the force and they marched into the courtyard. The Swiss mercenaries defending the palace fired onto the crowd which lead to a response from the Federes. To calm tensions the king ordered the Swiss to ceasefire which lead them to be at the merc of the attackers. 600 Swiss were massacred as well as 90 Federes and 300 Parisians who had been killed or wounded in the fighting.
    - - In the coming days the Legislative Assembly suspends the king, quashes his vetoes and establishes a national convention based on universal voting rights.
