The trachea split into bronchi which goes into the two lungs and then into bronchioles and eventually alveoli

Goblet cells produce mucus catching dirt and bacteria. Ciliated cells with hair wave the mucus to the throat to be swallowed.
The alveoli are surrounded by capillaries and veins nad a one cell wall thick membrane allows for the easy transfer of oxygen to the cells and carbon dioxide to the lungs.
