Plot:
Exposition: Chang Li and his brother Wu Ling, both being Chinese high school students, get selected for a cultural exchange program in Indonesia. Both of them were hesitant to accept the offer because they didn't want to leave their Mother alone, but eventually, after some convincing by their Mother, they accepted the offer and flew to Indonesia to represent their country's culture.
Resolution: As the cultural exchange program comes to an end, Wu Ling and Chang Li reflect on their journey. Before leaving Indonesia, their classmates organize a farewell event, where everyone contributes something unique a mix of Indonesian and Chinese traditions
Rising Action: Wu Ling and Chang Li arrive in Jakarta, where their guide, Lantar Firgantoro, welcomes them to the country of Indonesia. They immediately experience culture shock as they adjust to the new environment. After going to their new school they participate in workshops that involve Indonesian culture such as Batik, Songket and Tenun Ikat.
Falling Action: After the cultural exchange assembly, the atmosphere at school begins to change. Many students approach Wu Ling and Chang Li to compliment their presentation. The boy who mocked them earlier apologizes sincerely, explaining that he had acted out of ignorance.
Climax: As Wu Ling and Chang Li settle into their new school, they notice some students avoiding them or whispering behind their backs. One day, during a Batik workshop, a boy named Fajar deliberately spills dye near Chang Li’s work, smirking as he calls him a "foreigner who doesn’t belong."
