Subordination: showing inequality or a relationship of dependence or limitation: if, as, when, because
Tenses and concordance
Past tenses: Methodology and Results sections
Present tenses: accepted facts, i.e. background information, discussion of Results and Conclusions
Future tenses: things that may happen
Concordance
Subject and verb need to agree in number.
The verb refers to the main action in a sentence and the subject refers to the person or thing responsible for the action (typically it contains several words).
