The ASSURE model helps teachers plan and deliver lessons that use media and technology. The ASSURE model was created to support effective teaching. The main goal of the ASSURE model is to prepare for using media and technology in the classroom. It is simpler than other instructional design models, which guide the full process of creating educational systems. Instead, the ASSURE model is for individual teachers to use when planning how to include media and technology in their lessons. Each of the following letters: A, S, S, U, R, and E. Each letter represents a specific concept or principle.
Analyze learners, State objectives, Select methods media and materials, Utilize media and materials, Require learner participation, and Evaluate and revise
(Heinich et al., 1996)
Analyze learners
As the name suggests in this section we analyze our learners. Instead of analyzing everything its more than enough to just analyize general characteristics (age, cultural background, grade etc.) , specific entry competencies (understanding and abilities that students either have or do not have) , and learning styles (their respondance towards the stimuli etc) (Heinich et al., 1996)
"General characteristics: They are 12-13 years old. 11 of them are girls, and 15 of them are boys. There is no one who has mental or physical problems." (Plan 1)
"Entry competencies:
They can describe people and objects. They can give recommendations, make comparison, and talk about their feelings. They can talk about their habits and Daily works."
(Plan 1)
"Learning Style: Visual, verbal, tactile, auditory." (Plan 1)
State objectives
This is the section objectives are stated. What is the expected learning outcome for each student? This section is all about what they will learn. (my students will be able to solve the s simple crossword puzzles etc.) ABCD tecnique helps us with stating these. (Heinich et al., 1996)
"Learning outcomes: Students use the Simple Present Tense to talk about their personal choices in pairs.
Students identify indoors and outdoors sports correctly when given a reading passage…."
(Plan 1)

Evaluate and revise
And lastly evaluating and revising. Lesson design, evaluation, and revision are important for good teaching, but people often misuse them. Evaluations help us see how well students are doing. The most common way to check this in school is with paper tests. Checking how students learn and looking at how teachers teach is essential. We can evaluate prior to, throughout, and afterward when the instruction is done. (Heinich et al., 1996)
"Evaluate learners:
Students’ participation in activities.
Students’ feedback to the exercises..."
(Plan 1)
"Evaluate media and
methods:
If students can make sentences correctly by the given flashcards, the
teacher understands that the flashcards are useful and clear..." (Plan 1)
"Evaluate instructor
performance: As you carry on the classroom activities, monitor yourself for boarduse. In this lesson there is a lot of boardwork. Using it economically and systematically is important. Clear pronunciation and modeling is important. Check the voc pronunciation before the class and monitor yourself for clear pronunciation." (Plan 1)
