Arab Media lit review
Introduction
In this essay I will review the article Anti-American Senitment As A Media Effect? Arab Media, Political Identity and Public Opinion in the Middle East.
In general the article is very strong: the political identities that it uses as a core element of the study align with the core political identities of the region and its research matches much of the rest of the acedmic work in the feild around a mixed infleunce on opinio formation.
The article is not without flaws, with the biggest being its contuintion of a more general literature blindspot on looking at media that is not the two major transnational Arab media sights, particully ignoreing radio and newspapers.

Conculsion
To conclude, although the article has its limitations due to a contuined literature hyper focus on Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiyya, the article provides valuable analysis and data on the infleunces on Arab opinion of the USA.
Contributions
The core of the contributons of the article are an assement of the impacts the channels Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiyya have on Arab public opinion about the USA.
The research found that this opinion was nfleunced by a maltitude of factors. Al-Jazeera was found to support a higher degree of anti-American feeling whilst Al-Arabiyya generally supported a lower degree of anti-Americanism (Nisbet and Mayers 2011).
However, it found that exposure to news and the political identifcation of viewers was also a key factor in deciding their views of America regardless of what channel they watched (Nisbet and Mayers 2011).
