        Language and Interviews
        
        If we want our interviews to be successful—so we can obtain accurate information, understand our clients’ full personalities and emotions, and help them access their memories—we need to be able to speak with them in their preferred language (which may reflect their preferred culture). In some cases, we can do this directly, if we are bilingual in the client’s language. In other cases, we need to enlist the help of an interpreter. p 138
