Classroom Management
Seating Plan (Strategy) :
- The power of knowing names
- Can limit students from distracting each other
- Can place lower achieving learners with those who can motivate and assist them
Meaningful Class Profile:
- How you plan to cater to those students
Classroom Rules:
- Learning Contract : List of rules that students sign and commit to
- Both parties setting expectations for each other i.e. Learners expect teacher to be on time, teacher expects learners to bring all materials

- Mutual respect and repour between teacher and learners
Time Management (Principal):
- With-it-ness : Knowing and planning the flow of the lesson
- tip: Have llis visible during lesson to keep on track and refer back to.
- Bullet point main activities of the class to flow to each nice and easily- don't stop the class to ruffle through papers
- If running out of time- cut the content: Don't rush and focus on your academic and social closure or carry out an activity for one of the LLI's
- If acrrying an LLI over- Keep the level of Blooms- instead of changing to lower level, make note that it is a continuation from last class and extend recap of start of new lesson to prepare learners for a higher level of thinking
Be Organised (Principle)
- Be thoroughly prepared
- Visualise lesson in your head to help your timings and practice your explanations
- Allow sufficient time# for completion of tasks- set realistic expectations
- Clear instruction
Be in the room before learners.

- Get down on their level when working with them
- put your body next to the problem
Stand between disruptive students
- Body language is a loud Language
Promote the Positive:
- avoid blanket punishments that affect non-offenders

Behavioral Log:
- Log of incidents relationg to bahviour and attitude
- Can highlight sudden changes in behavior as well as help teacher understand and regulate how to deal with certain behaviours
