Applications of convex lens
1) Magnifying glass
1- singal convex lens is used.
2- magnifying glass is placed such that object distance is less than the focal length
3-it produce virtual image because no rays converge actuallt to form it.
2)The camera
1-it produce small,inverted,and real image
2-Photographic film is placed on the back inside the diaphragm
3)The projector
1-projecter uses a convex lens as a projection lens and pair of condenser lens
2- it produce a large invertedd and real image on a screen
4)The photogarphic Enlarger
1- it produce an inverted.real and magnifyed image of the film on photographic paper
2- it is specialized transparency projector used to produce photographic prints from glass negative or tnasparencies or microfilm.
5)Simple Microscope
1-it uses convex lens to produce magnifyed image of small objects
2-it produce upright, virtaual and magnifyed image
3- it is also called a magnifying glass.
6) Compound Microscope
1-a compound microscope uses two sets of lenses,1) the object lens, and 2) eyepiece
2-the objective lens has shorter focal length and eyepiece has greater focal length
7) Telescope
1-The telescope also uses two convex lenses Objective lens and Eyepiece
2-The objective lens has a larger focal lengthansd eyepiece has smaller focal length
