Hamza's Creative Learning Lab
Weather Watchers Hub
I want my students to be able to track real-time weather data and observe patterns over time.
This station will allow students to use the Weather Station Kit to measure temperature, humidity, and wind speed, helping them develop data collection and analysis skills.
Invention Zone
This station will allow students to use Arduino or Micro
boards to create weather instruments, fostering skills in coding, engineering, and problem-solving.
I want my students to be able to design and program automated tools for monitoring weather.
Forecasting Studio
This station will allow students to use the green screen to film themselves giving weather reports, helping them develop communication and presentation skills while understanding meteorological concepts.
With a green screen, students create and present their own weather forecasts, learning about meteorology while building communication and presentation skills.
Cloud Lab
This station will allow students to experiment with the Cloud Simulation Tank, helping them explore the processes behind precipitation and weather systems.
I want my students to be able to visualize cloud formation and understand the water cycle.
Maker Factory
This station will allow students to use a 3D printer to build tools like anemometers or rain gauges, encouraging creativity and hands-on problem-solving.
I want my students to be able to design and create physical weather instruments.
ESS2.1: Understand patterns of weather and factors that affect weather
My makerspace design supports the standard I chose by promoting hands-on, inquiry-based learning. The stations encourage students to explore weather patterns, collect data, and simulate real-world phenomena, helping them connect scientific concepts to everyday experiences.
