Step 6: Pass the SAICA Assessment of Professional Competance (APC)
A three-part examination testing ability to apply knowledge and skills
Taken after completing three-year training contract
Must pass all three parts to qualify as a chartered accountant
Step 7: Register as a
Chartered Accountant with SAICA
After successfully completed steps 1 to 6 = register as a chartered accountant with SAICA
Submit an application and pay a registration fee
Start practicing as a qualified professional

Adhere to ethical and professional standards

Step 2: Register with SAICA
SAICA = professional body for chartered accountants in South Africa
Register as a student / trainee

Step 4: Pass the SAICA
Initial Test of Competence (ITC
