THE CORRECT CHOICE
School Requirements to become a CA(SA)
Take pure maths in school and pass it with more than 60%
Passing the National Senior Certificate with pure maths
Have good English
You dont need to take Accounting in School
HAVING THE CORRECT SKILL
Pass two examinations:
The Initial test of competence
Assessment of Professional Competence
If you pass everything first try it will take you 7 years for the entire qualification process from when entered University
CHOOSING THE COREECT UNIVERSITY
Ensure the University you choose is accredited by SAICA
Study a degree in Accounting
Once the 3 year degree is completed you need to do a post grad course ( year 4)
THE CORRECT TRAINING
When your BCom is complete you need to do a 3 year training contract that is a SAICA Registered office
