Excitement of central nervous system followed by depression (rare except in children and small adults)
Apprehension
Restlessness
Rapid pulse
Confusion
Anxiety
Hypnotic Overdose

Rapid or decreased respiratory rate, with shallow depth
Cyanosis
Sleepiness
Snoring
Slurred speech
Loss of motor coordination
PABCD Treatment Mild vs. severe reaction
Mild
Admin O2
Monitor Vital Signs
Severe
Activate emergency medical call for assistance
Place patient in supine
Lay patient on side
Place pulse oximeter on patients' finger
Maintain open airway
Monitor vital signs
Manage seizures
Provide BLS
Signs of recovery and Signs of Deterioration
Deterioration: Patients signs and symptoms worsen
Recovery: Signs and symptoms get better
