In the movie GATTACA, Vincent tells us he was a part of a new underclass that is no longer determined by someone's social status or the colour of their skin. That underclass is based on their genetics. Because of this discrimination, Vincent feels as if he has to get away; “you do everything you can to get away.” Therefore, Vincent believes that the way society is formed is not right and unjust, which explains why he feels the need to escape.

They are controlled by the idea of genetically perfect people and who is able to be free.They are not able to be a big deal if they are invalid. Additionally, the genetic doctor almost forces the parents to make a fully genetically modified child. "The child is still you, simply the best version of you."
