vectors
Scalar: Only has magnitude (size). Examples include mass, temperature, and electric charge.
Vector: Has both magnitude and direction. Examples include force, velocity, and displacement.
ways of representing vectors: component, directions

how to add up 2 vectors: Express a vector in terms of components in some coordinate system usually x, y, and possibly z in usual 2 or 3 dimensional space (higher dimensionality is possible too in some mathematical situations). To add two vectors, we simply add their components.

Pythagoras’ Theorem: In any right-angled triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side that lies opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.
