Objects and Conflicts of Love
: Biblical Love-4 groups:1. love for God 2. love for others 3. love for self 4. love for things.
Love for God,
he commands love him with our whole heart, minds and souls. Matt 24:37
Love for things
: can be demonic or it can be legitimate; one can all things as longs as it does not interfere with the love that's due to God
Love others
: love your neighbors as yourself, Matt. 22:32; Love your enemy *Love for self is assumed, not a command. Self-love=self-centeredness.
The Law and Character of God
; God created humans in his image and that includes his moral dimensions, other aspects: Rationality, relationality, creativity, spirituality and volition
True love
is deep, wide, high, we cannot understand it. Ephesians 3:18-19. It requires deep revelation for us to know it.

Jesus emphasizes the difference in the disciples. Countercultural disciples are to be in His character and behavior. He gave this on the sermon on the mount of Olives. 3 His teachings on the moral of the heart-anticipating the new covenant blessings. 4 He fulfill the law by being obedient.

we must walk in our calling according to the obedience of Christ. We are complete in Christ. We must not confused legalism with the law, we must know the difference between the two.
