Transtheoretical Model
Precontemplation stage (Kadden,2008)
no action is taken for 6 months (Kadden,2008)
may not be taking action due to little information about the health behavior change (Kadden,2008)
may not be taking action because of low self efficacy often seen as unmotivated and resistant to promotion programs. (Kadden,2008)
Contemplation Stage (Kadden,2008)

Termination Stage (Kadden,2008)
The person has zero temptation toward relapse no mater what intense event occurs they do not relapse (Kadden,2008)
not heavily researched and looked as an ideal goal (Kadden,2008)
-
Relapse Stage (Arole, 2022)
Can occur at any stage but termination (Arole, 2022)
A person can relapse from maintenance to the action stage or back to precontemplation (Arole, 2022).
often viewed as a slip (Arole, 2022)
