Exam overview
GUI
-
-
-
An experienced user can quickly interacting using the correct commands
Limited memory and processing power are needed
CLI
-
-
Processing power
When a user is communicating with an HCI, processing power will be needed to complete the requested tasks
-
-
Wireframes
Positives Graphical elements can be positioned and moved around. The size of the element can be changes. High fidelity can be used in a testing process
Negatives/disadvantages Interactive features cannot be shown in low fidelity, high fidelity can become over designed
Touch and gesture
-
Touch and gestures are used by the user to interact with an HCI on touch screen. There are many types of gestures that can be used.
-
Cloud storage
-
They are accessed through a web browser, the cloud service an include documents and pictures and you can look at them if you have internet
-
Size
The display size is the size of the area on the display where, for example, the HCI, pictures and videos are displayed. The size of a screen is usually described by the length of its diagonal, which is the distance between opposite corners
Memory
If the HCI has a lot of options then the file size needed to store the HCI will be large as the HCI is programmed for its own right.
Operating system
Many digital devices have an operating system. The operating system allows the hardware to communicate

Wireframes A plan of what is to be designed -- it focuses on what the product will do rather then what it will look like, they help people understand the outline or frame of design before detailed designing begins -- this allows the designer what size and proportions are correct, that requires elements included.

Data testing
During testing it is important that every part and aspect of the solution is tested to make sure it works as intended
Data needs to be entered and processed by a solution. Testing should use all possible acceptable (valid) data as well as data that causes errors. By using the different types of data, the solution can be checked that it performs as expected
Data collection methods
Email: The same email can be sent to many people at the same time. The result from the emails can be automatically input into software for analysis / manipulation. Little risk of human error occurring when the data collection is input into the software Disadvantage: Emails may be diverted into spam / junk by the email provider. If the fields of data are not exactly.
HCIs are displayed to the user. This can be visually on display or audio such as Amazon Alexa's voice. Embedded HCIs are built into display on the device or system, while others are displayed on a seperate digital devce
