Water is needed in body fluids and tissues, such as blood and digestive juices.

Fat Soluble Vitamins
Vitamin A can be found in things such as oily fish and carrots. It is needed to have good eyesight and for growth and development.Without it, growth is delayed and night blindness occurs.
Vitamin D can also be called the sunshine vitamin. It is got from sunlight, oily fish and fortified breakfast cereals. It is needed for healthy bones and teeth. Deficiencies include a bone disease called rickets in children, tooth decay and osteoporosis which is brittle bones in old age.
Vitamin E can be got from nuts, seeds, and cereals. It protects against heart disease and gives you healthy skin. Deficiencies are rare because it is found in wheat, which i turned into flour.
Vitamin K is made by bacteria in the body, but can still be found in green vegetables and blueberries. It is needed for normal blood clotting. Without it, the blood will not clot normally, but this is rare.
Minerals
Calcium is found in milk, cheese and green vegetables. It is needed for healthy bones and teeth, so it can be paired with Vitamin D. Deficiencies include rickets, osteoporosis and dental decay.
Iron can be found in red meat, offal and dark green vegetables like cabbage. It is needed to form haemoglobin found in red blood cells. With low iron levels you can contract a disease called anaemia.
Sodium can also be called salt. It is found in salty foods like peanuts, bacon, sausages and crackers. It is found in all bodily fluids like blood. Without it you can have low blood pressure.
Water Soluble Vitamins
B Group vitamins can be found in meat, eggs and cereal. They control respiration, which is the release of energy from food, as well as ensuring a healthy nervous system. A lack of these can mean delayed growth, tiredness and beriberi, a nerve disease which results in paralysis in the lower limbs.
Folate/folic acid is needed by pregnant women during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. It can be found in wholemeal bread and fortified breakfast cereals. It prevents neural tube defects in newborns, such as spina bifida (spine not fully formed).
