Cornerspring Hiking Club Thoughts - Coggle Diagram

- - - - This goes back to how many apps do we want to be using for school? Do we have a sign up and request outreach via Remind from Poppy? Have Sue add in an area to the weekly email? Universal access is most sustainable so the club can change hands as needed.
  - - - Maybe alternate days in order to make it more accessible? And alternate difficulty levels so that we can use the back 40 for little kids one week, and then do Great Pond Mtn. on another week if we're feeling aggressive, for older kids? Want a different kind of hike that suits you and your family? Then lead one!
- - - - Costs?
        
        Sue doesn't think we need any legal documentation or signed waivers for this, but I think it's worth revisiting that question.
      - Indemnification Paperwork?
        
        Who gathers? Who is responsible to ensure they've been filled out?
        
        Slips available at each hike or annual liability waiver? Being a school activity, likely a good CYA.
  - - - Will there be divisions by class / age group?
        
        We could say "recommended" or some sense of difficulty. 1.5 mile, loop, mildly technical. Or some such? Use All Trails as the baseline so we don't make biased judgement calls?
    - - Hiking with kids is SLOW, a one hour hike can take 3
        
        We should be unambitious for our first few, I think.
    - - Is it just scouts if we do overnights?
    - - Would this be a need?
        
        I think that it IS a need if we have members who want to join. So we could do the rail trail, for example.
  - - - Who's responsible?
        
        Whoever listed the hike. Call made the morning of the hike? Put any cancellations or clothing notes on the sandwich board before dropoff?
  - - - Hikers. Again, provide a list of suggested items, but are we going to exclude if something is forgotten?
