Empathy is the capacity to understand and think by another person's perspective; putting yourself in their position.

Why people lack empathy
Some people lack empathy, making it hard to understand people's circumstacnes, leading to uncaring behaviors, such as that people who has lack of emathy seems to have a higher rate of cyperbulling. The lack of emathy is caused by cognitive biases, dehumanization, and victim-blaming.
Cognitive Bisas
Some people blame others for their own short comings. This bias can make people hard to consider others from their perspective.
