Ceo TIME
Schedule thinking time into your week -> Literally the same as road less stupid, have a notebook for it as well.
Look at two of the same job titles -> Compare their outputs, when promoting, make sure to define outputs expected and to find someone to cover previous outputs.
Look at the titles in your company -> What signals do they send out to vendors etc? Do people just want to get promoted due to status? Are some titles mismatched with their outputs?
Choose one of your direct reports -> Define all the outputs you expect from them. -> This gives you a great review.
-
Shadow Outputs -> Stuff someone does that isn't a part of their job -> Risk of SPOF when they leave/get promoted as these outputs are not replaced, as they were never accounted for.
