Why are resting jobs so important
It is always said in the musical theatre industry that it is not a stable job and you wont always have a contract and wont always book roles. This is why most people in the industry have resting jobs. Resting jobs create a stable income for performers and allow them to have a job between jobs or a job alongside contracts. Some resting jobs you are able to work during the day while having shows in the evening and this is great for performers as they can keep a steady job alongside performing and contracts
only 5% of actors are full time actors
