WHY
Programme content exists and includes both a user and facilitator guide
Growth in offshore migrants to NZ, and some are women (woudl need to look at new Census data for this figure
Multicultural NZ has a programme which is liked, and the desire is for this to be put online
HOW WILL IT ADDRESS THE ISSUE
This organisation wants to move to using tech
Ability to incorporate updates
Gives ability to run programme online, in the evenings
MY MOTIVATION
Keen to support women migrants to thrive when they come to this country
Updates will include Te Whare Tapa Wha model to update the framework
Volunteer led programme delivery should be strong and easy to use
PROBLEM
Current course content is written form only
Desire from faciliators, at a session I help facilitate, was to help move this programme into a digital format
Opportunity to leap frog this NFP into using tech with their communities
Tool to check certification of original doc with other document
WHY
Ageing Justices of the Peace population
Tech is used more often when certifying documents - web document
JPs are not paid - volunteer work, so reducing time to check documents could be beneficial
PROBLEM
Lots of international migrants - growth in documents from other countries to verify
Need to witness a document (ie passport) and then verify the photocopy - then stamp/sign/date it for client
MY MOTIVATION
I’m a JP and even I struggle at times to double check documents, despite being GenY
HOW IT WILL ADDRESS THE ISSUE
Could support new JPs coming in, knowing that there is an app to help with the service
Report development/tool for NGOs to write CEDAW reports (every 4-5 years)
WHY
Time consuming reporting requirements by NGOS to United Nations
Often limited people can attend, not are all experts on everything
PROBLEM
Lots of data points and facts to refer to migrants
Multiple agencies/contributors
MY MOTIVATION
Been to UN before,, understand the time required the fast pace of the reporting session - needed to have figures at my fingertips
HOW IT WILL ADDRESS THE ISSUE
Could support new people coming in to support the reporting
Tools to support small NGOs (maybe sport clubs?) to implement new tech practices into their mahi
WHY
Unsure what is useful right now on the market - lots of options targeted to other sectors
PROBLEM
NGOS often last to take on new tech due to time/cost
NGOs today lacking funding due to economic crisis
MY MOTIVATION
Have run several small NGOs and would love to help more
Want to give back to this sector which provides so much to the wellbeing of communities that need support

Tools to help communities understand their people with a sub-set of users
WHY
Unsure what tool city councils use
Have seen this model work in another Scandinavian city well, but it was in-person based
PROBLEM
Consultation of population groups are hard
People are time poor, when giving feedback
Loudest voices can sometimes win some advocacy efforts
MY MOTIVATION
I love Wellington, and this city doesn't feel well loved by its current citizens
This idea/model is applicable to other population/membership models/organisations

Could support small and stretched groups wanting to engage people well with
Best practice for am AI Board member to be appointed to an NFP board
WHY
NGOs need board governance
Sometimes a struggle to find the right skill set to serve, in often volunteer roles
Governance responsibilities increasing for boards, with changes to legislation in NZ
PROBLEM
Hard at times to find people with the skills needed to serve
Board meetings for these groups can be short and time together to build the team is often limited
MY MOTIVATION
Interested since the first assignment
Have served myself on various NFP boards and understand the issues with time and skills
Would like to give back to this sector
HOW IT WILL ADDRESS THE ISSUE
Could provide some relief to boards seeking members
Could provide better use of time at board meetings, to build relationships
Could help with what some board members are already doing - using AI with board papers, and provide a more unified way to do this as a group/org
