Vegetables - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Activity: Students will search in the classroom and outside for vegetable-shaped items. (toys, pictures, real, vegetables. They need to say each vegetable they got, the colour and the name of it.
- - - - Key concept: The importance of sustainable practices in vegetable farming and the impact it has on our environment
      - Activity: Have a discussion with the students and ask them what the benefits is of buying local produce versus imported vegetables. After the discussion, talk to them and tell them what big part of our foods comes from farmers.
- - - - Key concept: Classification of vegetables (root, fruit, leaf)
        
        Activity: We can place vegetables in different groups based on its characteristics. For example, size, shape, use.
        Have a variety of vegetables and let students explore each vegetable. They will then need to sort it based on its size (big or small), shape, etc.
- - - - Activity: If it is not possible for students to go to the farm,play videos in the class of different farmers as well as the process of planting vegetables.
      - Key concept: Understand where the vegetables come from as well as the role of farmers
- - - - Activity: Put some vegetable pictures on the one side of the board and on the other side there will be pictures of their resources (garden, farm, grocery store) Let them match where each vegetable come from
