Vegetables - Coggle Diagram

- - - - When it comes to the materials that are used for packaging, students should conduct research to determine which kinds of materials are the most effective in maintaining the safety of food for consumption (Naude & Meier, 2020:135).
        Learners will look at physical examples of packaging for vegetables, and the teacher discusses the reasons for the packaging. Learners will then be divided into groups with one type of packaging each and present in their groups to the class why certain packaging is used for different types of vegetables.
  - - - According to Naude, & Meier (2020:128) educators should provide students with opportunities to develop and apply certain abilities in order to solve technology problems.
        Conduct a discussion with the learners on recyclable materials and how they can be used with vegetables. Learners will them make a pot to plant a vegetable seed in using recyclable materials.
- - - - Because of their biological diversity, vegetables must be grouped in a systematic way to make information more easily accessible (Theodore J. & K. Radovich. 2011:3).
        Learners will look at a video on vegetables that grow above ground and underground. The teacher will then ask questions based on the video, for example: Where do potatoes grow, above or underground?
  - - - While flavor is undoubtedly one of the most significant sensory aspects of food (Ong, P.K.C. & Liu, S.Q. 2011:59).
        Gather some vegetables, cut them up into small pieces and give it to each learner. Learners will share their experience with the class in a group discussion.
- - - - History and geography both help students learn about themselves and their surroundings as they become involved and powerful citizens in their communities (Naude & Meier. 2020:30).
        Discuss with learners where vegetables can be bought using pictures.
  - - - According to Naude and Meier (2020:56), maps are abstract depictions of space for students, thus, it is crucial that teachers support them in learning the fundamental geographer's skills of observation and recording.
        Show learners a PowerPoint presentation on the growth of vegetable seeds. Learners then draw a map on every step of the growing process.
