a way of keeping vegetables from spoiling too quickly through the use of blanching, canning, freezing or pickling. (Jen & Singh; 2024)
the teacher will split the class into groups and each group will work with a different processing method, e.g. one group will be canning vegetables, and another will pickle.
vegetable chemistry
the reaction you get when you cut a vegetable, and it goes brown (oxidation) as well as the macro elements found in vegetables making them healthy for the people.
the class will dissect different vegetables and some they will sit them out to see how they each vegetable reacts with oxygen and the other will put a drop of iodine.
