STARS (ASSINGMENT #2)
Evidence 1 - On page 15 I found that gravity can bend space, the more mass in stars the more mass there are in stars. As distance goes on and speed increases, the gravity decreases. Using page 16 I discovered that in a main sequence of a star, fusion and gravity are equally balanced. When the fusion and gravity get unbalanced and carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen are formed.
For a star to form, hydrogen, helium, and gravity are needed. The perfect conditions include when the density weakens, and the heat gets really hot. When all is right, stars are made and light is formed.
Using the life cycle dance I observed that a star starts at the nebula stage. Once shot out of the nebula, it forms a star. The star is balanced between fusion and gravity. The main sequence of the star ends when the star runs out of hydrogen. After it runs out of hydrogen it forms into a red giant. Now that there is no hydrogen in the star, fusion and gravity become unbalanced. Depending on if the star was a massive star or a normal star they have the same ending. A normal star has a planetary nebula, a planetary nebula is a rotating circle. Once the core collapses it blows off into space and forms another nebula, or forms a white dwarf star. If the star was a big star it would have a supernova. There are three endings to the super nova. One is when the supernova becomes a black hole. Another ending is when the supernova becomes a dead neutron star. The last ending is when the star becomes another nebula.
Using what I learned from star in a box I found that mass and weight of the star goes down as the life of the star goes on. I also learned that supernovas are hot.
Picture Insert
Claim - I claim that stars change the universe because they create light, add nutrients like iron, carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen to our universe.
This is a picture of my dog at a Nashville Party
On page 18 I discovered that stars are very important to helping us with calendars. Some stars come out only at certain times of the year.
Using page 17 I observed that stars are crucial because they can make tons of elements on the periodic table beyond lithium. Stars grant us with oxygen. Every human on Earth needs oxygen to be able to live so this is very important.
Stars are important because they play a crucial part in religions. For example greek mythology is based upon what stars make in real life. Like the big dipper. The big dipper is a part of the greek mythology.
I claim that the solar system works because of the Sun. Furthermore, the solar system is set up perfectly, from planets to asteroids.
Using Threshold 4 I learned that planets are made from leftover stars, and clouds of chemically rich matter. If random collisions happen, and gradual accumulation line up. Planets, moons, astroids, comets etc. can be made.
Another type of a planet is a exoplanet. A exoplanet is a planet that is located outside of our solar system. We can find these planets by radial velocity. Lastly scientists way to find these is by gravitational microlensing.
Habitable Zone is when life and oxygen cant happen whether it is to close to the sun or to far from the sun. Reverting back to how threshold 4 is setup the condition have to be just right.
Scale and Distance - Using scale and distance on page 23 I discovered that planets and stars are can be exoplanets. Exoplanets are planets outside of our solar system. To answer the question how is our solar system organized I have that planets and stars come first. Then exoplanets, along with asteroids comets etc.Objects and Locations Using page 24 I discovered that objects that orbit the sun the slowest are Eris, MakeMake, furthermore, objects that orbit the sun the fastest are Mercury and Venus. The reason to this is because of the path around the sun.

BIG BANG (ASSINGMENT #1)
Evidence for the Big Bang - Using page 11 I found that In the year 1925 Dr. Sliffer used the doppler effect too measure how fast galaxies were moving. From page 11 discovered the radio signal that came from microwaves, this was important because because later on people used that signal to discover that stars give off radio signal. In a country a Hydrogen Accelerator has been made, and found to have really high levels of energy, leading scientists to believe that the big Bang could've really happened
This is a picture of my dog about the time we first got her
Orgin Stories - Using what I learned from Orgin stories I found that from page 9 which is my cultural story Dawn, the God was birthen, earth became hot, organisms started to evolve, then the earth got taken over by humans. Comparing to the regular Big Bang orgin story there was nothing. Then energy burst forth and expanded into our universe. That event happened 13.8 billion years ago. Clouds began swirling together, stars exploded and cause elements from the periodic table to form.
Cosmic Calendar - Using Cosmic Calendar I found that If using a 1 year calendar Stars would light up almost 11 months ago. Around 7 months ago stars would be born and others would explode. 5 months ago first life would appear, also the oldest rocks were found 3.8 billion years ago. 3 months ago the Earth changed to a oxygen atmosphere. 3 days ago dinosaurs died.
Claim - I claim that humans care about the origin of the Universe because they want to know how humans got on Earth. In a study evidence found that human brains tend to be curious. Leading me to my answer that humans are curious about the orgin of the universe.
Claim - I claim that universe
Reflection - My understanding of space has changed because I did not know how much important stuff is in space. For example, planets and stars are setup perfectly so that the galaxy can run right. The best thing that I learned about is how other cultures view the stars. Using my survival skills the 20 minute rule has helped me the most. I am really bad at finding time to do things so the 20 minute rule has helped me a ton. I need to work on next unit focusing in class.

Introduction / Connection
Claim: I claim that the Earths place in the Universe is to provide life to humans and animals. Furthermore, Earth also is setup perfectly in our solar system so everything runs correctly.
Connection
I am connecting space to my dogs life.
I chose my connection because my other connections were stuff that impacted my life. Furthermore, my dogs life is really important to me.
My dogs life fits with Earths place in space because it plays a crucial role in a big event. Comparing my life to the Galaxy, Earth has a crucial role in the galaxy just like my dog plays a crucial role in my life.
This is the most recent picture of my dog.
Connection for Big Bang - My dogs life connected to the Big Bang is important because the Big Bang was important. The beginning of my dogs story begins when I got her from the facility. When we got her she had just had kids so we had to wait a couple of weeks. When we finally got and brought her home she shook the entire way home. Connecting to Cosmic Calendar my dogs life a couple of years ago was when she turned 10. Now she is 14. When she was 10 we had just moved to Charles City. Connecting back to the Cosmic Calendar this was when stars were dying and others were brand new. Current day is when the dinosaurs died. My evidence for this is the picture I took along the way.
Connection for Stars - My dogs life is connected to Stars because when we first got her it was like the nebula stage. The first day of me getting my dog was like the stars getting made from helium and hydrogen. After the nebula stage is the main sequence. The main sequence of my dogs life was 4 years ago. Now that my dog is 14, the main sequence would have passed about 4 years ago. 6 months ago my dogs life entered the planentary nebula stage which is when the core collapses and blows off into space. This all circles back to when I first got my dog and takes us back to the nebula stage. My dog is important to me because it can help me when I am stressed out. I can play with my dog. So my dog means a lot to me.
Connection for Solar System - My first day of getting my dog started when I woke up and got ready. The second form was getting in the car and driving to the humane center. The last was getting out of the car and going inside the facility. The day I got my dog is like space because it revolved around one thing, getting my dog. When I was looking for dogs it was like Venus revolving around the sun. When I got my dog it was like Make Make because it revolves around the sun slowly. At the start of all of this I did not know how the dog adoption process works, and now I understand. Looking back to all my Assingment connections that I did I found that I have improved on this a lot.
