Present Continuous
Examples
Affirmation: She is reading a book.
Negation: She is not reading a book.
Question: Is she reading a book?

Time Expressions: now, at the moment, currently
Auxiliaries: am/is/are.
Usage: Ongoing actions, temporary situations.
Past Simple
Usage: Completed actions in the past.
Time Expressions: yesterday, last week, in 2020.
Auxiliaries: did (only for questions and negations).
Examples
Affirmation: He watched a movie.
Negation: He did not watch a movie.
Question: Did he watch a movie?
5-W: What did he watch?
Past Perfect Continuous
Examples
Affirmation: I had been working there for two years.
Negation: I had not been working there for two years.
Question: Had I been working there for two years?

Time Expressions: for, since.
Auxiliaries: had been.
Usage: Actions that were ongoing up to a point in the past.
Future Perfect
Time Expressions: by, before.
Examples
Affirmation: They will have finished by noon.
Negation: They will not have finished by noon.

Future Perfect Continuous
