Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of trouble. Psalm 41:1

1 Corinthians 1:27
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:10
and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.
Galatians 4:14
And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he always ate at the king’s table; he was lame in both feet.
2 Samuel 9:13
I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. Job 29:15
But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

Motivation
Learners need to learn about people with varying abilities to foster empathy and understanding. Exposing learners to diversity at school can help prevent discriminatory attitudes from developing later in life.
This topic is ideal for an inquiry project because of the various diverse issues related to it. Since it is a topic that borders closely on ethics and values, it is ideal to explore through inquiry as there is often not one correct answer to the difficult questions.
Learners should begin to formulate their own answers to the hard questions in life. Asking themselves what is most important in life can lead them to deeper, meaningful answers that transcend the normal academic scope of schoolwork.
