Sources of heat
Heat from the sun
- The sun is our main source of heat and light
- The sun's energy is know as solar energy and plants make use of this solar energy for photosynthesis
- We makes use of the sun's heat to dry wet clothes and to preserve food
- Solar heaters make use of the sun's heat to make the water hot
From fuel
- A fuel is anything which burns to produce enegry light and light
- Example: kerosene, charcoal, wood and gas
- Example of a fuel are kerosene, charcoal, wood and gas
From electricity
- Metal wire gets very hot when electricity passes through it
- Some metals release more heat than others when electricity passes through them
- Examples: iron release more heat than copper
- Electricity is used to produce heat in household appliances like water heater and iron

Heat flow
- when we put two object with the same temperature together , there will be no overall flow of heat between them because they are in tne same temperature
- However, if the temperature is higher than thatof the other object, ther will be a flow of enegry from the hotter object to the colder objrct1object until both reach the same temperature
