Jonas saw something weird about the apple."The apple changed mid-air!" It seems like Jonas can see red.
Mother talked about how bad being a birthmother is. "Three births, and that's all. After that they are Laborers for the rest of their adult lives, until the day that they enter the house of the old."

Mother
"The feeling you described as the wanting? It was your first Stirrings." Stirrings is when you start to have the weird feelings of wanting girlfriends.
Jonas
Jonas talked about his dream. "I wanted her to take of her clothes and get into the tub." This is called the Stirrings. This just means puberty in some way.
Fiona
In Jonas's dream, he wanted to wash Fiona, but she kept on laughing and saying no.
Father
"That's where you were yesterday." Jonas went to the house of the old the day before the dream telling.

Fiona
Fiona told Jonas that she had been waiting for him to ride back together. "I looked for you yesterday, so we could ride back together."
Mother
Mother asked Jonas about his dreams, but Jonas can't tell her. "No dreams?"

Jonas was too scared by the job discription that he started to say " No, I don't, I can''t." It seems like a lot of pain really scared him.

The chief elder told Jonas his job." You, are the next receiver of memory." Jonas for a strange job called the receiver of memory, which seemed very important.
