circuit design
Crudely speaking, the name of the game is to make
and use gadgets that have interesting and useful I-versus-V characteristics.
For nonlinear V-I devices, it is sometimes useful to know instead the slope of the V–I curve, i.e. a small
change in applied voltage to the resulting change in current. This is called small-signal resistance

trick calculate parallel
you have a 24k resistor, 6k resistor and a 4k resistor in parallel what is total resistance?
This is the same a 24k resistor plus four 24k resistors (equal 6k resistr) plus six 24k resistors in parallel, which is equal 11 24k resistor which is 24/11 = 2.18k resistance
tldr find lcm resistor value of the parallel resistors, and express each resistor as a number of the lcm resistor in parallel (e.g. 6k resistor equal four 24k resistors in parallel)
A
small resistance is a large conductance, with correspondingly large current under the influence of an applied voltage.
-
Nearly all electronic circuits accept some sort of applied
input (usually a voltage) and produce some sort of corresponding output (which again is often a voltage).
voltage divider
-
a potentiometer is basically a voltage divider (two resistors, where the ratio is varied)
Loading
-
all sorts of sources, not just batteries and voltage dividers.
Signal sources (e.g., oscillators, amplifiers, and sensing devices) all have an equivalent internal resistance. Attaching a load whose resistance is less than or even comparable to the internal resistance will reduce the output considerably. This undesirable reduction of the open-circuit

capacitors
Capacitors can either be used to filter out DC and let AC signal in, or it can block out high frequency AC signal in a part of the circuit.
