Infant Mortality Rate
In about 1700, humans started to apply technology to farming. This meant more food could be grown per area of land. More food equals healthier people, which equals more population.
Because of new farming tech, fewer people needed to work as farmers, so the shift began from the farm to the city. People moved to the city to get jobs in the factories running on steam power created by burning coal. Unique new technology was made in the town.The steam engine generated electricity by burning coal and creating steam, new medicine and vaccines better nutrition, underground sewer systems, flush toilets
Where people have access to hospitals, doctors, and health services, more children are likely to survive to adulthood. Better heathcare can increase the growth rate.

Mexico=Young
Economy
Economic stability reduces the need for a large family. Living in an area with a strong economy can provide more opportunities for jobs and education, A population with a high proportion of employed females may have a lower growth rate. Wealthy countries tend to have smaller families while poor countries tend to have large families.
If women have good access to education they will stay in school longer and get married at an older age and therefore have fewer children. If the opposite is true and women are discriminated against and not given access to a good education their only option for stability is to get married very young in which case they will most likely have more children.
