Ancient Egypt
Location: on page 8 it said on the banks of the Nile river was the "Black land," which was named after the rich dark silt. Ninety percent of Egypt is covered by desert called the "Red Land". According to the text " without this fertility, there would have been no civilization in Egypt." (Hart #8)

Writing: In the texts it says, "Scribes had to be experts in writing hieroglyphs, an elaborate with about 700 different signs. The people who could learn how to write turned out to be very useful in there time of living. The people who didn't get to learn how to write was pestents and slaves also didn't get to master writings skills.
Architecture: Architecture is any type of buildings like houses and more. In the text it says "houses were built from brick and Nile mud. The text also says that "The Egyptians added straw and pebbles into the mud for strengthen. After the pebbles and straw is ready they'll pour the mud into a wooden frame to make bricks. After they pour the mud they will set them in the sun so they can set."
Art: Art doesn't have to be just all paintings and portraits, it can also be clothes, jewelry, and perfumes. In the text it says " you can see the glint of gold in every Egyptian jewelry. it also says it gets mined between the Nile and Red sea.
Religion: The author wrote that the Egyptians worshipped many different gods and goddesses, also known as polytheism. Of the many, they mainly worshipped the sun god, who would be many different forms. Another thing the started is, that "the pharaoh Akhenaten saw the dun god as a disk with rays ending in humans hands holding the sign of life to the royal family". (Hart #24)
Government: Back in the day government could have been jobs, kings, queens, and ect. Like for an example in the book it says "The pyramid AGE drew to a close in c. 2150 BCE. Nearly all the pharaohs from the Tuthmosis I ( 1504 BEC) to Ramesses XI (1070 BCE) chose to buried in Tombs in the Valley of the kings".
Religion:In the text it says "The Aryans came from an area of Central Asia near the Caucasus Mountains, moving southeast and eventually taking over the entire Indus Valley by the year 1500 BC. They spoke a language called Sanskrit, which became the basis of many modern South Asian language." The text also said he religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism. Government: The author said "The Aryan civilization had a large impact on modern-day India society. For example, one Aryan influence on modern-day India was the development of the caste system. Architecture/ Technology: In the text is said "The landscape of imperial China was dotted with walled towns and cities" " Towns and cities were traditionally build on a grid system and divided into sections." Art: In the text it states "China had separated into seven warring states. Battles become large in scale, with crossbowmen, cavalry, armored infantry, and chariots. "Swordplay was military success was displayed in fine weapons, such as this bronze dagger." " The harness ornaments battles largely became contests between massed ranks of foot soldiers, or infantry." (Cotterell 14)
Government: In the text it says " In 221 B.C the first Emperor united China under the Qin dynasty." "He built the Great Wall to protect his empire from the northern nomads." " People regarded imperial rule as the only from the government." I know this because on page 6 it says all this information (cotterell 6)
Location: "China is the world's oldest continuous civilization from 221 B.C to A.D 1912." " Ancient China reminded untouched by outside influences because it was a world apart." "Vast deserts and mountains ranges cut off cut off China from other cultures in India, West Asia, and Europe and many hundreds of years." I know this because on page 6 it states all this ( cotterell 6)
Religion: "The kings authority was greatly reduced and ambitious lords fought for each other power." "Confucius believed that family relationships should also be together by grovernal mutual respect.' I know this because on page 12 it states that. (cotterell 12)
Commerce: On page 58 it says, "the silk road was the most famous trading route spreading from Northern China all the way across Asia." "The Mongol empire had full control over the silk road during the Mongol empires existence." " The silk road made China and the Mongol empire improve significantly." (cotterell 58)
Writing: In the text it said "The Shang king used the oracle bones to consult the ancestral". " An ox bone or tortoiseshell was scorched until it cracked." "The bone was placed in a fire and got torched. (Cotterell 11).
