Coach Kenny: Coach Kenny promises to help me improve my golf skills, so he encourages me to keep playing. Despite struggling at times, he's always patient with me and teaches me techniques to help. Whenever I have a game the next day, I tend to worry, but he reassures me that I will do well and encourages me to keep practicing.
Hayward (city): The city promises me that I will be able to live in a safe and healthy community. The city is always reconstructing new buildings for new residents and cleaning around the streets which makes me happy to live in the city.
Jocelyn (mom): My mom promises me she will continue to be a loving mother and take care of me even when I grow up. She shows her love by caring for me everyday, cooking dinner, driving to me to school, etc.
Teachers: My teachers promise to guide me through my studies and teach me new concepts to help me with my future. If I don't understand something, they are willing to stay after school to teach me one on one till improve my understanding of the classwork.
Dance community: The dance community promises to make me feel safe and confident in expressing myself through dance. Despite the mess ups, they always cheer me on which makes me feel reassured and to keep going. During rehearsal, when I mess up, or I don't understand something, they always help me and make sure I know what to do.
Angelyna & Angelyka (sisters): My sisters promise to love me for who I am and support me through my hardships. Despite them living far away, they always check on me by sending me a text of how I'm doing. If I'm going through something, they are always willing to hear me and my feeling out.
Coach Bern: Coach Bern promises to teach me techniques to improve in my sport outside of school, so I can develop my ability to play confidently during in varsity games. During my lessons, she's always patience with me and lets me practice multiple times despite me messing up a few times.
Moreau (school): My school promises to help educate me and assist me to become the best version of myself when I leave. The school community guides me through my journey in school by encouraging me to try and learn new things and be the best version of myself.
Prince (brother): My brother promises to always support and be there for me despite him living away from me. We always facetime everyday talking about how our day went or what's bothering us. Even if we talk about serious things, we still joke around and laugh to make things feel more uplifting.
Close friends: My friends promise me they will stay with me through my hardships and support me. We can always talk about things together without getting judged, so we feel safe. If I am going through something, whether it's about school or personal things, my friends always comfort me and understand my feelings which makes me feel loved by them.
Golf Team: The golf team I participate in promises to help me improve in golf and let me have the experience to play against other people while having fun. When we have a match against another school, we and our coach tell each other to just have fun and not overthink while playing which makes me feel reassured.
Christopher (dad): My dad promises that he will always do his best at work for our family so we are able to go to school and have our needs. On occasions, he always takes us out for what we want to do or eat. On my birthday, he would take my family out and give me gifts which make me happy.
