Vegetables - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Class Activity: The learners will each receive a seed for growing carrots, fertile soil used for growing plants, the containers as well as water from the teacher. The teacher will then demonstrate how the carrot should be planted and after that has been done the learners with the assistance of the teacher will do what is expected of them and then later that day they will take their containers home where they will continue with the growing of the carrot and will continuously update the teacher about the progress
- - - - concept 1: harvesting: the teacher will explain that harvesting is when we pick out vegetables ready to be eaten. The teacher can also explain how different vegetables are harvested in different months due to the availability of a certain vegetable in a certain season/month.
    - - Class Activity: having watched the video about the different kinds of tools that are used to grow vegetables the learners will then have to make and design their watering can with the guidance of the teacher.
- - - - Subtopic 2: the different colors and shapes of vegetables
        
        Concept 2: Observation and classification: using picture cards the learners will have to learn about the different colors that they can find/see on the different kinds of vegetables that they eat daily e.g. a cabbage is green and a carrot has an orange color. The teacher can also discuss the different types of shapes that vegetables have for example a cabbage is round.
        
        Concept 3: Sensory exploration: The learners will have to taste the different kinds of vegetables that they will get from the teacher after having checked their allergies and the vegetables that they are familiar with. The learners will have to decide if the given vegetables taste sweet, sour, bitter, or salty. They can also decide if the texture is crunchy, soft, or juicy.
        
        Class Activity: The teacher will help the learners to fill in the taste and texture chart for example if the learners tasted spinach then if they feel that the Spinach is crunchy they they will put a dot in the designated column with the help of the teacher and if they feel that the Spinach is bitter in the same row but a different column they will also put a dot in with the help of the teacher.
