Pesticides and their impacts on human health
Abstract
Pesticides are used to prevent/control the number of unwanted pests. Therefore, pesticides are an advantage for the use in crop production they can cause harm to the environment and the people in it.
If a high dose of pesticides is inhaled it can cause acute toxicity. They can now contaminate food, water, and soil.
To control pesticides that induce health hazards need safety concerns to provide protection for human health.
Introduction
Due to the exposure to pesticides, three million people are poisoned and 200,000 die according to the United Nations Environmental Programme report.
Types of cancers, neurotoxicity, infertility, and leukemia are just several chronic diseases that can be caused from pesticides that are applied without precision.
Pesticides can be used if their is balance and consideration for the environment and health.
Methods
The evidence was found through diverse databases to study the consequences of pesticides on the health of the public. Research was done to study how pesticides effect fertility, Alzheimer's disease, leukemia, types of cancers, asthma, etc.
Results
A study was done to see if pesticides can cause Alzheimer's disease. Over a long period of time it was proven that exposure to pesticides can cause brain damage and then can lead to the progression of AD.
It was reported that children exposed to pesticides via prenatal exposure tended to develop cognitive and autistic syndromes.
According to the Children's Cancer study, pesticides that are exposed to the parents is the primary cause of acute leukemia, and children who are exposed to household pesticides tend to have a 3.5 times greater possibility of developing this.
Conclusion
Knowing that pesticides can have such a harsh affect on the environment and the public health, educating stakeholders can help improve them to make more informed decisions, enhance safety protocols, lower risks, and communicate with each other to protect the health of the community.
The advancements in technology, consumer preferences, the awareness of sustainable agriculture, and the balance of pest management against it's hazards will drive the future of pesticides.

Grant proposal
For my grant proposal I am interested on how the environment can affect human health. Pesticides are known as a environmental pollutant that can cause harm in an individuals health.
