Separated the bees body parts into three sections and then weighed each section and then placed into a 1.5 ml centrifuge tube on ice. Read their absorbance using a spectrophotometer and then calculated final levels of soluble protein.

Multi-residue pesticide analysis was conducted. Comb wax, beebread, brood or adult bees were extracted. They were put into a mixture and then treated with secondary amines. The resulting supernatant was analyzed. Choices of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides were analyzed by the frequency of use where bees may be exposed.
