the ships and men were small but the firepower was big and unmatched this unmatched power helped them take control of a lot
Following portuguese example several European powers had established forts along the western coast
Europeans did it different instead of temporary foothold they made preferment fort holds
They established fort across the western cost of Africa Europeans took over the Portuguese forts as they had weekend and power declined
Dutch immigrants had arrived at the southern tip of Africa and built a settlement called cape town the first permanent European settlement
Dutch farmers called borers settled around cape town over time they had ousted enslaved or killed the other people who lived there
