Narrator
Her position
her feelings and thoughts on events
The narrator goes to a television station watching the clock and watches Calais' satellite broadcast unedited. She calls every government and entrepreneur she can think of, trying to find a pump for them and appealing to radio and television, but to no avail
Looking at the screen, she felt Calais' pain and frustration and cried for the girl. She sees that Calais has reached a kind of fatigue that she has never reached before and has "completely forgotten the camera."
Her emotion
I watched Karl countless times while covering important articles, and she always admired his ability to be strong and detached even in the face of terrible events.
See a photo of the destruction in the television news depicted by lover Rolfe Calais, the first television reporter to arrive at the scene.
I found the pump and worked out a way to ship it, but on the third night the girl dies.
