Pro 4 & Anti 8: This is a very valuable conversation to have because in my opinion, I think the most contentious part about DEI is the lack of transparency about it. Whether it's affirmative action in college admissions or jobs or the arrival of an employee who the majority can't relate to, people don't receive detailed explanations for decisions made that impact them.
If I'm completely honest, I think this is the messiest topic on this Coggle and it's one I don't have a good answer to. But I do think it's an elephant in the room and it should be appropriately and effectively addressed to ensure everyone's voice is taken seriously and accounted for.
But throwing it out there, as a good, honest effort to use my brain, maybe we as people should demand a higher level of transparency from organizations about all kinds of standards (pay raises, admissions decisions, salaries, legacy decisions, who gets opportunities and who doesn't, etc.)
