Tools used for gardening. Learners will observe different tools spade, rake, shovel. Learners will analise there similarities and diffrence. Learners will go out and observe in the store if the school has tools to grow their garden. Design statement: The school does not have a shovel
Importance of agricultural tools. Learners will watch a powerpoint slide show about the importance of agricultural equipment. The learners will observe a tractor and a plow. The learners will observe in their community garden there is no plow. Learners will design and make a plow that id durable for their community.
Problem statement there is no vegetable garden at school. The learners will design a vegetable garden and include the material and specification for the garden. The garden must be protected from learners walking over it. They will make a garden with a fence. Learners will make their garden and the teacher will go outside and the learners will test if their garden was a success.

How to grow vegetables. Learners will watch a video on how to grow vegetables. Learners will go out and observe an area to grow vegetables. Design statement: There is no soil area to plant vegetables at school.

Vegetables in cultural food. The teacher will discuss different vegetables that are important in different cultures. The teachers will ask learners if they have a specific special vegetable. Learners will observe cultural vegetables on the display tables. Learners will observe the vegetables differences and similarity and paint a picture. The learners will then communicate to the class what they painted and why.
Growing vegetables in the community. The teacher will ask learners if they have any gardens in their community or at home. The teacher will show pictures of different community gardens and encourage the learners to ask questions. The learners will go on a school trip to a community garden. Learners will observe and take picture and record what theiy see. The learners will then each draw a picture of what they would like in their community garden. Farmer Mag, 2024, deems it imporant to create a sense of community when it comes to farming.
Agriculture in the community. The teacher will ask the learners if they have any farms in their community . The teacher will show the chidren pictures of big a farming. The teacher will make a displat table for learners to observe small plows, and tractors.

Activity: Learners will explore the different vegetables and note similarities and differences. Learners will each bring a vegetable from which they use in their cultural dishes. Learners will wear their attire and talk about the vegetable and how it is used. In groups of 3 the learners will communicate the findings.

Activity: Learners will plant a vegetable seed in 3 different soil types and determine the cause and effect of the different soil in the seed. The learners will experiment and observe which seed grew faster over a period of 3 weeks. Learners will make a poster and communicate the success of their experiment
