Armed forces (RAF)
Frontline job - RAF Police - As a member of the Armed Forces police service you are maintaining law and order within the RAF or RAF airbases. You will also deal with the protection of RAF personnel, and RAF property. You do this by patrolling RAF borders as well as ID checks of all personnel coming onto a RAF base or RAF site. This is a frontline job as you are dealing with immediate incidents and with service personnel.
Non Frontline job - RAF Chef. As a chef you are incharge of providing meals to the personnel of the RAF and ensuring they get enough food and nutrients that they need for completing their job. You are also giving the job of catering for special occasions as well as making sure all food is cooked to a high quality so personnel do not get ill
Police Force
Frontline Job - Police Dog Handler - As a member of the Police force handling police dogs you will be incharge of giving tactical advice to other frontline officers as well as conducting searches of premises in assistance with other officers especially when arresting offenders or searching for them, or searching for missing persons. You are also incharge of controlling violent and out of control dogs to ensure public saftey.
Non Frontline Jobs - Evidence Clerk. As a evidence clerk you are incharge of handling the evidence rooms and the safe storage and disposal of large amounts of cash, drugs, firearms. As well as the safekeeping of forensic samples.
Ambulance Service
Frontline Job - HART - Hazardous Area Response Teams are a specialised frontline unit of the UK ambulance service, they are trained in entering and responding to very risky calls such as building sites, collapsed buildings after a gas explosion or at height. They are trained to ensure the safety of themselves as well as their casualties.
Non Frontline job - Mechanic - As a mechanic for the ambulance service you are incharge of overseeing the maintenance of ambulances are emergency vehicles used by the ambulance service, as well as repairing said vehicles or dealing with incidents where the vehicles have been damaged. Mechanics are also there to ensure that the MOT's on vehicles are up to date to ensure the vehicles are functioning are can be driven around legally.
Fire Service
Frontline Job - Fire service - As a firefighter you are the first to respond to a minor or major fire incident as well as RTC's (road traffic collisions) as well as helping looking for people after a major incident. Not only do you deal with fire incidents you are there to help prevent fires and so you are there to educate people about the dangers of fire and the dangers of fire risks and the dangers of RTC's. You will also be there to provide first aid to any casualties or injuries if the Paramedics have to arrived or are dealing with other people.
Non Frontline Jobs - fire service - Senior management. As senior management you will be incharge of the smooth runnings of the fire service. This may include putting in safety and fire plans, overseeing the training of future fire fighters, or providing advice and tactical support to firefighters and crews if needed.

Armed Forces
There are multiple advantages of having a career in the Armed Forces.
One advantage is training, if you go into the armed forces you will be given training in different things such as policing, logistical work, administrative work and medical expertise. These are all advantages due to the fact they can be used later in life and for other jobs.

There are also advantages such as subsidised food as well as free access to a gym as well as free and instant health care and dentistry.
Disadvantages of the Armed Forces. If you want to live cheaply you have to live on base as well as this you are on call all the time, you might have shift patterns but you are on call 24/7. as well as this especially with the navy you are living in very cramped conditions on ships and especially in the Submarine fleet.
Police Force
Advantages of a career in the Police Force. One advantage of working in the police is you get a defined pension and the option to retire at 60, this is better than a lot of other jobs.
