Plot
Mary Maloney is a woman who loves her husband Patrick Maloney very much. When Patrick comes home one day and tells her big news that is not explicitly stated, although it is likely to be divorce, as Patrick promised "I'll give you money and see you're looked after." Mary Maloney then kills Patrick with a leg of lamb she originally intended to cook for supper, and after that, since she knew the penalty for murder was death and she was pregnant, she did not want the unborn child to die and came up with an elaborate scheme to fool the police.
