In the text it said the early people that lived in Mesopotamia didn't need writing. Eventually the people of Mesopotamia needed some form of writing, so the people came up with cuneiform. At first the writing was mostly symbols and pictographs. The writing was made by pressing clay with a stylus, that made a mark forming the symbols. Many people in Mesopotamia used the cuneiform. I know this because in the book it states ''It was used by later Mesopotamian peoples, including the Akkadians, B abylonians, and Assyrians.''
Mesopotamia art is one of the first art and it is the oldest and made out of clay stone and metal.
