Solutions
Female role models- Give the females more media coverage and more social status, this will make them more popular and give them more people watching which can help to create more role models and help for people to admire them.
Stereotyping- Support both a men and women team, avoid sexist language and also Hire more female commentators and officials.
Access to facilities- Make sure all facilities like leisure centres have times for both men and women to access the pitches and areas for there sport, this will make it fair and help to make the gender barrier become irrelevant. This may also help performance for the women as they can play and train more regular.
Barriers
Female role models- There are many female role models in sport but there aren't really appreciated as shown by this survey by Run Repeat.
Only %38 of women stated a female role model and men stated 2% of female role models.
Stereotyping- This is the fact that people believe that women re better than men in many different sports and are more admired.
Access to facilities- At most facilities men get priority towards getting pitch times and areas, this limits the timing areas they have to chose from and normally have the less appropriate and less convenient times. This can make it hard for women to get time to play there sport which would have a impact on there overall performance and performance as a team.
