Success and Failures
Success
Aaland Islands - Finland and Sweden had a dispute over ownership of islands, and threatened to esclate into war. League offered a compromise which was accepted by both sides.
Upper Slisia - 1921, Poland and Lithuania had a dispute over land - Poland invaded but the league made a comprise which made both side happy.

Abyssinia/Ethiopia

King of Abyssinia went to the league of nations for help, Italy rejects and leaves the league
League put snactions on Italy but they were useless because America wasn't a member so therefore could trade with Italy
This showed that the league was ineffective at resolving disputes and encouraged countries like Japan and Germany to be more aggressive
