ETHICS OF WORK
Moderation: Islam advocates balance, avoiding workaholism and overburdening oneself.
Family and Personal Time: Importance of fulfilling familial and personal duties, not only work.
Rest and Worship: Encouragement to rest, recharge, and maintain regular worship practices (e.g., daily prayers).
BEGGING
QURANIC REFERENCE: "And as for beggars do not turn away from them" (Quran93:10)
ISLAM DISCOURAGES:
promotes laziness, leads to over dependecy, annoy Allah, makes one greedy, shame to the person begging
MEASURE: encourage people to set up income generating projects, people who beg to earn for themselves, strict laws against begging.
refers to any productive activity that involves mental and physical effort to achieve a purpsoe
REASONS: earn a living, achieve basic needs, improve standards of living, prepare for their future, meet new people
QURANIC REFERNCE:And say: Work, for Allah will see your work, and so will His messenger and the believers...” (Quran 9:105)
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITES
Zakat (Charity): The wealth earned through work is subject to giving charity to the poor.
Support for the Needy: Helping others through your work, whether through creating jobs or providing services.
RIBBAH
QURANIC REFERENCE:" Allah condems usruy, and He blesses charities
ALLAH PROHIBITS: involves cheating, promotes injustice, hinders development, spreads hartered in the society
EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER
RESPOSIBILITES OF EMPLOYERR: pay employee in time, motivate employee at work, appreciate employee's work, respect employee, ensure justice among employees, be kind to employee, protect employee's privacy, not sexually harass employee
