Mesopotamia
Location: The author wrote that at first there wasn't a name for the region, but late the Greeks named it Mesopotamia, meaning " between the rivers". Also we know that " Mesopotamia was the birthplace of writing, as well as many other inventions and discoveries that changed the world. Modern Iraq is where Mesopotamia used to be located (Steele page 6)

Architecture: A lasting symbol of ancient Mesopotamia. The texts says that " Is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick. It represented a mountain, stretching from earth to the heavens. (Steele page 24)
Religion: The author talked about how the Sumerians worshiped many Gods, and Goddesses, the text says that " They belevied that the stars traveling across the sky were cows of Sin or Nanna, the horned Moon God. (Steele page 16 )
Art: The author wrote about how the Mesopotamians were great with many technologies and crafts at an early point in history. The text says that "Some time before 3500 BCE, they invented the potter's wheel which made pottery production way more efficent." This proves that they were able to master many technologies. (Steele Page 28)
Writing: The text talks about how early civilizations didn't need anything written! The text proves that "Early people who lived as hunters and nomads did not need records." This proves that the early civilizations did not need written things like books, they had their own written language called Cueniform (Steele Page 12)
Government: The author wrote that the Sumerians have their own name for their land of the civilized lords. The text states that "City-State rulers were honored with various titles, such as en (Lord), ensi (governor), or lugal (king). This proves that their government are highly worshiped.

Religion: The website says within their history of south asia a series of empires rose and fell. With in this the religions also grew and then fell but some stuck. The ones that stuck were The Mauryan Empire,The Gupta Empire, The Mughal Empire.
